Work by veteran writer and editor Mary Bergin is the foundation for Midwest Features Syndicate, and other journalists may be introduced as this business grows.

Mary established Midwest Features Inc. in the 1980s. It began as a marketing and distribution network for the work of a dozen Wisconsin writers. Their weekly column topics ranged from astrology to artful living, outdoor sports to consumer advocacy.

The business lasted 10 years, until family matters took priority. Two of the original writers – geriatric nurse practitioner Barbara Quirk of Madison and outdoor sports expert Patrick Durkin of Waupaca – still produce their weekly columns.

Since 2002, this syndicate has sold only Mary’s work. Unsolicited work is not being accepted at this time.
